This morning I awoke to a phone call from Frank Beckman from WJR, he was asking me to go on the air to talk about a protest I was involved with yesterday.
Yesterday (Tuesday) was the aniversary of the invasion of Iraq, and me and about 200 other people marched to Congressman Mike Roger's office to protest. I gave a speech about women and how they are affected by the war, and I also participated in a skit.
Since then, every single news outlet in the state has been calling me. My phone has been ringing off the hook since I woke up this morning. I was quoted in the State News and the Lansing State Journal. I eventually turned my phone off because I just don't think it would be a good idea for me to be speaking on behalf of the war movement - I get really nervous and don't speak so well sometimes. I don't want to make the movement look foolish.
I turned my phone on for three minutes and got 8 phone calls.
THE JOURNALISTS WONT LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!
